28 July 2017 - Exploring Ven

We enjoyed a pre breakfast swim, along with others and then cycled round this holiday island, full of happy cyclists on hire bikes, hundreds of them. This island was owned by the astrologer, alchemist and astronomer, Tycho Brahe. His measurements of the planets before the invention of telescopes were the most accurate for for many years and formed the basis for Newton and Kepler's laws so we had to visit the excellent museum celebrating his work.
