9 August 2017 Ebeltoft

Just as well we planned to spend today looking at the historic ship, the Jylland, as it has been a good force five for most of the day. The Jylland was a timber square rigged ship built in 1862 with the novel feature of a steam engine in addition to her sails. The engine gave her more speed and manoeuvrability in battle. Sadly it wasn't present but it was a good visit despite this. Ebeltoft is a very pretty small town of timbered houses and cobbled streets which is now full of expensive boutiques, restaurants and holiday makers.
